Integrative Medizin Ward in the Asklepios Westklinikum in Hamburg

The Integrative Medicine Ward is part of the Centre for Internal Medicine at the Asklepios Hospital in Hamburg, West-Rissen, and has 25 beds.

The embedding of the department in a normal high-tech hospital provides an optimal combination of cutting-edge medicine and palliative medicine with the complementary methods of Anthroposophic Medicine and Homeopathy. Here, all acute and chronic diseases in the field of internal medicine are covered:

• Serious diseases of internal medicine such as heart failure, circulatory disorders of the brain and heart including heart attack and stroke, diabetes, pneumonia, acute episodes of rheumatic or autoimmune diseases
• Advice and creation of an integrative treatment plan for patients recently diagnosed with cancer, possibly involving chemotherapy, radiation, or palliative care
• Acute and chronic pain

An individual and holistic treatment plan is created all cases for all diseases. The treatment concept of the ward is recognized by all health insurers.
