Community Care Services

In Germany there are approximately 15 Community Care Services committed to anthroposophic principles. Those services which meet the criteria of the International Council of Anthroposophic Nursing Associations (ICANA) are associated within the AnthroMedฎ – CARE-NETWORK.

In addition to requirements regarding the quality of processes and structures, the list of quality criteria includes the following typical performance parameters.

  • Fundamental care is orientated to anthroposophic perspectives.
  • Rhythmical Einreibungen according to Wegman/Hauschka are part of the fundamental care program and are offered, where applicable, as special therapy service.
  • External Applications as compresses, therapeutic washings or baths are offered, where applicable, as special therapy service
  • Palliative care and terminal care (accompanying the dying) strive for a close connection between spiritual & ethical perspectives and concrete, practical nursing and medical assistance.
